Cub Resident Summer Camp

Camp Pollock at Forest Lawn

July 18 through 24, 2010

Week long overnight camp near Lake Arrowhead. Typical activities include swimming, archery, BB guns, games, handicrafts, nature projects, campfires and a few overnighters where campers sleep outside under the stars. Boys will complete rank related achievements (primarily Webelos activity badges). As is typical of a Scout camp, there are tons of activities provided in a structured environment that keeps the campers busy from morning until bedtime.

FLSR TentTotal cost per Scout is $335 which includes all meals and activities while at camp.. If you are interested in participating, a deposit of $100 is due to Mario Di Sandro by February 28. Please make your check payable to Pack 759. An additional deposit of $100 is due by April 25. The remaining balance of $135 is due by June 13, 2010. Camperships are available from the Los Angeles Area Council.

As we approach the camp date, a parent meeting will be held to further discuss the week at camp. At that time signed Medical (Class 1 & 2), Firearm, Talent, and Parental permission forms will need to be submitted. If you know that your Scout is attending, it is advisable to have the Class 2 medical form signed by a doctor as soon as possible.

IMG_6779 CCamp starts Sunday afternoon and ends Saturday morning. Scouts will sleep as a Pack in tents (2 boys per tent - wood floor, cots, canvas covering) within a designated campsite. Two or three nights during the week, the Pack will hike with other campers to various camping spots and sleep on the ground outside under the stars. The Camp has a dining hall for all meals. At least two adult leaders will be staying with the boys at any point in time. Parents are welcome to visit for the day or stay overnight for a night or more (fees may apply if staying more than one night).

DSC00947Deposit ($100) is non-refundable after February 28, 2010 unless a replacement is found. All but the $100 per camper fee is refundable provided written notification is received no less than 4 weeks prior to the camp date. There are no refunds within the 4 weeks leading up to camp.

More information and appropriate forms will be provided once available from the council.
