Cub Resident Summer Camp
Camp Pollock
August 2 through 8, 2009
 Week long overnight camp near Lake Arrowhead. There will be swimming, archery, BB guns, mountain biking, games, handicrafts, nature projects, campfires and overnighters where campers sleep outside under the stars. There will be opportunities to complete rank related achievements.
The cost per Scout is $315 which includes a week of camp, meals and activities. If you are interested in participating, please contact Mario Di Sandro. Deposit of $75 is due at sign up and the remaining balance of $240 is due by June 19, 2009. Camperships are available from the Los Angeles Area Council.
Recently announced is the move from Camp Pepperdine to the brand new Camp Pollock. The theme will be Journey to Cub Island.
 Deposit ($75) is non-refundable after April 3, 2009, unless a replacement is found. All but the $75 per camper fee is refundable provided written notification is received no less than 4 weeks prior to the camp date. There are no refunds within the 4 weeks leading up to camp.
We will have a parent meeting after the soapbox derby on July 11 (approximately Noon). At that time signed Medical (Class 1 & 2), Firearm, Talent, and Parental permission form will need to be submitted. If you know that your Scout is attending, it is advisable to have the Class 2 medical form signed by a doctor as soon as possible. These forms will need to be turned into Mario Di Sandro on or before the parent meeting in July (specific date to be determined). Adults coming to camp will need a completed Class 3 Medical form.
Camp starts Sunday afternoon and ends Saturday morning. Scouts will sleep in designated campsites as a Pack in Scout tents (2 boys per tent - wood floor, cots, canvas covering). Camp has a dining hall for all meals. Adult leaders will be going up and staying for the full week with the boys. Parents are welcome to visit for the day or stay overnight.
